Skinny Egg Salad Wrap
One of the things I have been learning in my new journey to live a healthier life is simple swaps. Over the past few years I have tried so many diets and I just couldn’t stick to them. Then it was like a light bulb went off in my head. I have heard it said a million times but for some reason it just never really clicked. It’s a lifestyle, not a diet.
So then I started a quest to find a lifestyle change that I could stick to. Don’t get me wrong, those diet plans work for some and if you can stick to them they’re good, but for me they just didn’t work. So I started looking for ways to do simple swaps. To make my everyday meals healthier. One swap I found that is amazing and so simple is to swap out mayonnaise for plain, non-fat greek yogurt.
By replacing the mayonnaise with greek yogurt you are reducing calories and fat and getting an added boost of protein, potassium, calcium and probiotics. Win. Win.
Here is my simple and easy Egg Salad Recipe:
Skinny Egg Salad Wrap
* 6 hard boiled eggs , chopped
* 1/2 cup non-fat yogurt Greek Yogurt
* 1/2 cup celery , small chop
* 2 teaspoons mustard
* 2 green onions , minced
* about 6 pickles , minced
* 1/2 teaspoon paprika
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, optional
* 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt , or to taste
* fresh black pepper to taste
* lettuce or spinach wrap for serving
